Everyone knows that things happen according to nature in the wild and a safari can be unpredictable at best, being either full of or not so full of the most incredible sightings.
But there are some sightings that are so unusual that they can’t even be dreamed of, such a sighting was recently experienced by guests at Tanda Tula. Kevin Hill and his fiancé were out on a game drive and happened upon this unusual interaction between a lion looking to hunt a baby rhino. Kevin managed to get the unfolding scene on camera.
It is highly unusual for lions to hunt rhino, but it really is indicative of the times. Weak animals make for easy prey and opportunistic lions will try their luck when possible. Luckily this rhino got away.
The interaction will stay with us for a long time, and for Kevin and his fiancé who were married later that afternoon, it added to an already special day.
