Earning money offline has always been the traditional method for centuries. Now, with the presence of the internet,  anyone can make money online, because it offers great possibility of making extra cash in your pockets and for others, it is has become a means of livelihood. An unimaginable way of making thousands in order to reinvest into other things like real estate, salon, boutiques, and some other physical businesses.

The internet has taken over a large part of our lives and it’s rapidly taking over the world and it’s making it small and closely connected, this means you can reach more people in one spot than in your local community and putting that into consideration, people are looking for ways to leverage that and make money online to increase their financial inflows. And YES it’s really possible.

However, you have to be careful, there are tons of scam out there, people promising of fast ways to make money overnight, truth be told, there is no such thing. You need to understand that everything in life demands time, dedication, consistency.

In this article, I will try as much as possible to elaborate on possible realistic ways you can make money online leveraging on the internet. Let’s get started.

1. Leverage the app economy

If you’re looking to address some immediate financial needs as soon as possible, then the app economy is likely right for you. But it is not a get rich quick scheme. You can leverage on Uber, Yango, Lyft. Often times, I don’t really see this as making money online but it is.

If you have a car and you are living in any of the countries and cities where these services operate, then great, this can make you a lot of extra cash aside from your job.

This is basically a taxi-hailing service where someone requires you to move them to and fro a particular location via the app. The hours are flexible and you can work as you see fit, making it perfect, even if you currently have full-time employment but are looking to make some money on the side.

2. Use existing websites

You could also decide to use existing websites (instead of creating one which might be very expensive) for making money. These might include both active income and passive income methods.  For example, you could sell your products, used items or invest in creating a digital product, which can be sold on merchandise.

You can leverage social media sites like Instagram, Facebook or you can even use classifieds websites available in your country to sell your products.

There are also site like eBay, amazon that gives you the opportunity to leverage on their platform and features to sell your products to people.

Also, if you are a web designer, graphic designer, translator, public speaker, content writer or there is any other thing you can offer to people, there are web/app platforms that give you the chance to put yourself out there for the world to see. Examples of such are Upwork, Fiverr, PeoplePerHour, Flippa, and many others. You just have to find which one works best for you.

The existing website option frees you from the technical hustle of keeping the site up and running so you can devote time to producing your stuff.

3. Freelance Writing

Freelance Writing is another great way to earn money online. If you have the passion to write and also have the writing skills and creative talent.

There are many online magazines that will pay you to write great and creative content for them, and it’s possible you could get paid to create online content. Or you could even push to work for them. Either way, it’s your choice to make.

4. Reviewing websites & apps for cash

There are companies out there that pay people to just review apps and websites and after a successful review, you get paid. There are a couple of them that I know like UserTesting, Enroll, TestingTime, TryMyUI, and many others.

I have used TryMyUI before and it works super great, you get paid between $10-$15 per review and if you happen to review up to 10 in a day, well, that should be around $100+. All they require you to do is to give your candid opinion on the website/app they have displayed in front of you.

That isn’t bad at all I guess! And by the way, to become a tester or member, you just need to submit your email address and apply. But wait a minute, before you get any real assignments you must take a sample test. The good news is that the site is open to both US and International users. You just need to make sure you have a PayPal account.

So, I decided to add this, here is a screenshot of a payment they made to my PayPal after my first successful review or testing with them.
