News making rounds is that American-based rapper Kanye West and wife Kim Kardashian will jet into Uganda in a private jet today.

According to reliable sources within the tourism sector, the celebrity love birds are expected to touch down at Entebbe International Airport today with their children and thereafter fly to Murchison Falls National Park where they will spend an exclusive weekend at the luxurious Chobe Safari Lodge; perched along the Nile River.

Kanye, 41, confirmed his and Kim’s visit to Africa in a video that went live on Thursday 11th October 2018 while speaking to press after his meeting with the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump at the White House in Washington DC, the USA capital.

In the video, which is now making rounds on social media; an elated Mr. West is seen saying “Us going into the deep see. We haven’t seen 90 percent of the world. We are going to Africa – Uganda”

The news follows Kanye’s interview earlier this week with TMZ, a tabloid news website which was later published by UK-based BBC News, in which Kanye confirmed that he would be recording his new album in Africa.

The famed superstar was expected to release his ninth album Yandhi, last Saturday 6th October 2018, but he communicated that the album would be slightly delayed until 23rd November 2018 which is also Black Friday.

Kanye’s management team suggested that he needed more time for the album.

In the same interview, Mr. West Speaking of the work-in-progress, said that he is incorporating sounds that no one has ever heard before and pushing and having concepts that people don’t talk about.

Confirming his visit to Africa in the Tuesday BBC article, Kanye says “I Just need to go and grab the soil… and have the mic in the open, so you can hear nature while we’re recording.”

The songwriter adds that he felt this energy when he was in Chicago (a state in the US). “I felt the roots. We have to go to what is known as Africa”, Kanye West said.

Having been to Murchison Falls National Park myself, I am undoubtedly confident the celebrity family will love their stay there with sounds of the rushing waters from the world’s longest river, the singing of the birds, daily visits by wildlife and the incredible game drives in Uganda’s largest conservation area.

News also has it that the couple booked and blocked off the entire lodge for about 2 weeks, but haven’t arrived yet; you probably know how celebrities are. But let’s keep those fingers crossed that they actually come. Haha!

Maybe, I’ll just say a warm welcome to the celebrity family and wish them a beautiful stay in the Pearl of Africa.

About the couple:

The couple, who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in May 2014 have three kids namely, North West, Saint West and Chicago West who are also expected to fly into Uganda with them.
