Selah, Hill’s oldest daughter and the first child born after the massive success of Hill’s debut solo effort The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, appears to have inherited the best of both her parents’ genes: She’s a knockout. For those wary of a young girl embarking on a modeling career at such a young age, we’d point out that the vast majority of working models kickstart their careers in their early teens.
In a Teen Vogue interview published earlier this year, Selah explained that modeling was totally her idea: “I was in a hotel with my dad, and I was just joking around and said, ‘Oh yeah, Daddy, I want to model. I don’t know—the camera is just fun.”
Ms. Marley, an avowed Justin Bieber fan, isn’t sure if she’ll pursue a career in music: “People tell me I have to follow in the footsteps of my mom and grandfather, but it’s a lot of pressure—I can’t really slip up and mess up the name.”
