Ugandan legendary singer, Jose Chameleone, is soon following the footsteps of his fellow East African singer, Diamond Platnumz, of starting up his own television station. Yesterday afternoon the East African legendary artist revealed the launch of his own TV Station via his various social media platforms.

The ‘Baliwa’ singer named his TV station after his own crew (Leone Island); Leone Television. The singer-cum-politician seems to have eventually realized the benefits of investing in media, a dream he has had for several years but had never really made a decision on.

The Kampala Lord Mayoral Candidate has been ‘on many occasions’ telling the media about his plans of starting up his own TV and Radio stations. However, after a long wait, time might have reached for Chameleone’s plans and ideas to be practical as yesterday he showed the world when his TV station was on signal testing.

Through his social media platforms, the singer divulged that the station will be available soon on Channel 541 on GO TV as well as on free to air.

”20 years down the road! Leone Television Loading for all my youths. #ALAALI OUR TELEVISION STATION LOADING! Signal Channel 541 Gotv and free to air”, posted Jose Chameleone.

The singer has already set up social media accounts for his upcoming Leone TV station and it’s believed that before the end of this year, or even sooner, it will be fully active, broadcasting.

However, the early criticism that the singer will face is that this is not the very first attempt towards a long term business project as he has been always talking about them but all in vain and those he has managed to put into practical, like the DNA Lounge, already failed and are no where.

Otherwise, it is good news for the entertainment fraternity as a whole and a great achievement for an artist in Chameleone’s caliber who has been in the game for over 20 years.
