  1. Mandi says:

I am very disappointed on this channel I want African programmes not recycled black diaspora please.

    • Royston Johnson says:

Come on Mandi, don’t be a hater, we should be proud of amazing shows like Desmond’s that help celebrate our culture. Have you forgotten one of the classic sayings from our Gambian brother Matthew? ‘Only when you have crossed the river can you laugh in the face of the crocodile’. I for one will be tuning into Desmond’s at 7pm everyday.

  2. Lynn says:

It’s even worse on the US channel. New programs feature American personalities. Instead of new soap episodes, there’s old repeats.

  3. Grace says:

I think it’s good to show this show, a whole generation can now access a piece of TV culture they were maybe too young to experience. (you can’t know where your going if you don’t know where you came from) And if you ask me Desmond’s is as Timeless as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, forever funny! (I’m a 22 year old by the way)

    • Natalie.Tandoh says:

Thanks for your comment Grace, we think so too! It’s such a classic show that was truly ground-breaking for its time, and is still so relevant today.

  4. Ebony says:

Desmond’s is an oldie but a goodie. A very good classic. Glad to have it back. I enjoy it with my children who are growing up with no black families leading shows in UK TV. Welldone Africa channel

  5. max zambeze says:

There is plenty of space for repeats and new drama. New drama can get a few lessons from repeats. Let’s enjoy both.

  6. Eric R says:

Just series linked it! I live about 300m from the shop where it was filmed. Keen to see what the area looked like, but can’t remember if there was much shout outside.

  7. kt says:

Thank u 4 repeating it as now I don’t have wait for buffing it online.plus are u going to put spin off show porkpie on aswell

  8. PJ says:

Thank you for bringing, “Desmond’s”, back to our tv screens. I think it is one of the finest programmes ever made and the show covered issues that are as relevant now as they were in the late 80′s/early 90′s. Perhaps you could also show, “Porkpie” in the not too distant future….and also a documentary about the conception and making of,”Desmond’s” ?
